I’m Christopher Mast, an attorney in Naples, Florida. The core of my law practice consists of personal injury and wrongful death cases. I also help people in the areas of business law, family law, and probate and estate administration.
I often handle cases that are unusual or complex. An example is that of a young man who was severely injured after falling off a roof while he was helping to reshingle a friend's house. Two other lawyers turned down my client's case because liability was not clear-cut. My client had been drinking beer and taking the prescription drug Percodan prior to climbing up on the roof. In spite of the complexities of the case, I was able to help my client obtain a $240,000 settlement. In this case, one of the right moves I made as an attorney was to identify the legal issue that favored my client: the fact that he received no warning of the effect of combining Percodan with alcohol.
